National Craft Revolution

Gara Guzu

The story of Gara Guzu is about 2 people who escaped from the chaos of the big city to pursue their dreams. Akgonca and Ataç, who lived separate lives from the herd, worked in different fields in Turkey and abroad, had adventures, and then settled in Muğla, started the story simultaneously and turned into a nuclear family with the addition of their children Mercan and Kiraz.

Gara Guzu is an independent nuclear family business. We set out to create experimental and original flavors based on discovery, open to surprises and free approaches. As a boutique producer, Gara Guzu has introduced ale, saison, session ipa, nitro-stout and beet beer varieties to the Turkish market for the first time.

Craft beer is freedom. It encourages dreams, makes you cross paths with extraordinary people, adds beauty to your life, as in Gara Guzu…

As two colleagues who crossed paths in Bangladesh, we decided to produce our own beer due to the pressure of the alcohol policies in the country and our story, which started with the motivation of enjoying beer at home, brought us to the stage of establishing Trokya.

Our small-scale beer production took on a new dimension when we met different types of beers during our travels to various countries and our research on beer production. Knidos

Humanity accompanied a barley spike on its journey that began thousands of years ago, through countless labyrinths. It was the classic 7-circle “Labyrinth of Cnidus” that took us all on a journey, our 7 days of life in a week, the 7 colors of the rainbow that appear after the rain crystals, the 7 notes that express rhythm. Hello from Istanbul, the first stop of our journey.

Beer is a quest, a giant effort, a wanderer, it has reached the whole world as much as wheat and barley from the fertile crescent. The point where the Aegean and Mediterranean waters mingle, the westernmost tip of Turkey, the Port of Knidos… Knidos, one of the most important ports of maritime trade for Anatolia, is an ancient city built on two slopes where famous names in science, art and architecture lived and left works.

3 Kafadar

3 Kafadar emerged with the common dreams of three passionate beer lovers whose paths crossed with home brewing. As Turkey’s first nomadic brewers, 3 Kafadar finally realized these dreams in the last days of 2017 after a long period of recipe development and branding. They entered the Turkish craft beer market with the claim of bringing a breath of fresh air to the Turkish craft beer market with two beers produced in Belgium. The hope and desire for craft brewing to become widespread in Turkey and for beer lovers to experience different flavors and experiences led 3 Kafadar to go one step further and decide to establish a facility in İkitelli, Istanbul. To celebrate the facility, which became operational in November 2019, they decided to change the Graf brand, which has brought them together with beer lovers for two years, to 3 Kafadar.

As 3 Kafadar, they are now on this adventure with thousands of friends and supporters. So what are we waiting for? They got beer, let’s drink it!
